One day I was at a friend’s house for a play date and her Scentsy consultant had stopped by with an order and to let her smell the scents.  I could smell the scents from across the room and as a candle ADDICT I knew I had to get my hands on whatever that great smelling stuff was.  Next thing I know I have a lap full of scents, the catalog and I am agreeing to host a party. When it was time for my Scentsy home party we all sat around smelling the scents and sharing memories that the scents brought back.  That night with my host credit I bought one of the warmers off the table plus several scents.  The next day I warmed Sizzling Coconut (a now retired scent) and I was hooked.  It had been summertime and I had all the windows open and you could smell the scent all the way down our street.  It was amazing how powerful one little cube could be! I hadn't planned on ever selling Scentsy but my neighbors started complimenting me on how they loved the smell of my scent warming and how they were so excited about getting their orders that I knew I had to sell this product!  On September 19th, 2010 I began my journey.   My business has grown and changed through the years.  I went from selling Scentsy to my neighbors to get a discount on my stuff to now working it as a career and expanding my business to all three of the Scentsy Family Brands (Scentsy, Grace Adele and Velata).  I’ve found it to be the only job I can work truly around my children.  I start work after they go to school and work until 2pm so I can be available for them when they all get home.  I do home parties as well and they usually fall when they children are sleeping.   It the best of the working mom and stay at home roles! My current goal with my Scentsy Family business is to consistently make enough money so I can pay for a skin removal surgery next year.   In 2001 I had a grastic bypass and through three children I have managed to keep 150lbs off, but as you can imagine the skin is a huge issue! My goal is to consistently sell $2000 a month to save for the surgery!
